Update the latest display drivers and check if that helps: Hope this information helps. Feel free to get back to us for further queries. We will be happy to assist you. I uninstalled the driver which forced a reboot. It appears that as part of the reboot, Windows 10 re-installed the driver. When I went to re-install it using the Intel Driver Update Utility, it said I already had the latest driver installed.

This is a Surface Pro I don't know if any of this is helpful but I'm hoping someone can point to something to fix this problem. Judging from all the email alerts I keep getting even after a simple google search a while ago showed the correct solution on multiple sites and since people are too blind to follow simple instructions , this is how to fix this issue:.

I also get the exact same issue and only just first experienced in the last two hours but its occurring regularly and my Surface Pro 3 is now extremely laggy. I wonder how many other people are experiencing this issue and how many of them actually report it to get Microsoft's attention.

This is getting extremely frustrating. I'm also running Windows 10, also have the Windows 8 thing in the error message. Not the first time a Surface Pro 3 update has broken my Surface and guessing probably not the last either. When I upgraded to windows 10 could no longer load my second life program. I got an error message that i needed to update my graphics card driver. I did the "update drivers" thing and got the message saying that I had the latest drivers.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and was still getting the same message. I went to Intel website and got a customer service rep who did some stuff on my laptop remotely. Guess what, same thing happened. I ened up going back to 8.

Well, I retract my previous post about not seeing any driver restarts. I'm now seeing the driver stopped responding and was restarted messages again. If the Win10 driver update shows up again I'm going to see if there is a way to ignore that update.

Thanks for the possible solution. I tried it, unfortunately it didn't work for me. Followed your steps to the letter. I'm convinced this is a MS issue that they are completely ignoring for whatever reason.

Regularly get the display driver stopped responding error and restart. I've also tried to update the driver and the update fails. It looks like the Intel site has an updated Win10 driver for the graphics, but it won't install. It's hard to tell if MS is aware of this issue. I noticed on mine, after about a week Win10 downloaded an updated driver for the video. It replaced the driver that I installed from Intel.

But so far I haven't noticed anymore driver restarts either Tell us about your experience with our site. Anthony Lubrano Created on November 29, These constant driver failures are becoming very annoying.

Is it normal for Device Manager to be so I ran through the entire installation process which required a restart to uninstall my current audio driver and another restart to install the updated one. However on completion of the process I checked Device Manager and the audio driver is still not updated The reason I'm using this forum is because I've had no success with Dell so far.

I just installed the free version of CCleaner. Thanks for the tip. Norm Sash-ns Replied on January 3, In reply to cloudynik's post on January 3, This site in other languages x.
